Site improvement of connection tunnel at Taipei Airport MRT Station A18
The construction site of this building protection horizontal grouting ground improvement project was located in the basement connecting tunnel of Station A18 with high-speed rail Taoyuan Station. Horizontal Double Packer grouting was carried out between the open-cut excavation region and Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station.Ground improvement grouting was used to improve structural safety and site stability, so that ground stability secured safety above the future excavation operations for the connecting tunnel. Thus, during the project operation, water leakage and soil collapse phenomena would not occur, resulting in safe and smooth connection tunnel excavation.With the operational requirements of high-speed rail, the ground improvement process needed to be closely monitored for any high-speed rail station subsidence and tilt condition.
